I figured out something pretty cool I can do with my FPS. Sterioscopic 3D images (red/blue) work by taking two pictures, one for your left eye and one for your right. Then, a red hue is added to the left picture and a blue hue is added to the other. The hue is added to make the right eye (blue lens) see only red shadows, and the left eye (red lens) see only blue shadows. When the hued images are overlapped they appear in 3D (with glasses) because of the difference in shadows between the two pictures. Well, with that said, I came up with an idea the otherday of using red/blue light sources on a single image instead of red/blue hues on two images. When creating 3D pictures, you use hues on two images because the shadows are already in the pictures and you need shadows for both colors. Using light sources on a single image works because the red/blue hue actualy casts the shadows on what's in the image. Anyway, I made a level in my FPS that had red and blue light sources (red on every left wall, blue on every right) to see if I was right... IT FUCKING WORKS!!! Everything that has shaders appears in 3D (witch is most stuff) Here's some screenshots I took:
